Dear delegates
Today, our planet speaks to us louder than ever before. The voices of glaciers melting, forests burning, and oceans rising
echo through every corner of the globe. Climate change is not a looming threat but a present reality hitting us hard,
affecting lives and livelihoods worldwide.Let us amplify these voices , for they cry out for urgent action. It is time
to listen, understand, and act decisively to protect our planet. Each of us has a role to play — from individuals making
sustainable choices in our daily lives to governments and the corporate world prioritizing renewable energy and conservation.
Together, we can create a chorus of voices advocating for a sustainable future.Join us in this crucial conversation
at Shiv Nadar School Faridabad MUN. Let's ensure that our voices today shape a better tomorrow.

Dear Delegates
We live in an era of diplomacy. Ideally, under international law,
diplomacy should be the key to resolving even the most intricate conflicts and addressing the most complex issues facing
humanity. The United Nations was founded on the principle that diplomacy is essential for maintaining peace, yet today,
one could argue that it is becoming a threat to that very peace. Have diplomatic efforts failed us? Does the United
Nations genuinely promise a sustainable future? Can geopolitics be reduced to a simple binary issue?
At SNSFMUN 24,
we encourage students to challenge the adults who have been stewards of the world they will inherit by asking these
critical questions. Our goal is to immerse students in the world of diplomacy, allowing them to navigate the complexities
of global politics and understand the operations of various UN sub-organizations. Model UN serves as a vital platform for
students to gain this insight. By engaging with its processes, understanding its limitations, and recognizing its indispensability,
these students become our best hope for the future. Most importantly, they will ponder whether diplomacy is merely a double-edged
sword or if the issue is far more complex, requiring deeper engagement—an endeavor we hope our delegates will wholeheartedly
undertake.

As we convene for the 7th edition of the Shiv Nadar School Faridabad Model
United Nations, one of the most pressing issues on our agenda is the Climate Change Emergency.
Our planet faces unprecedented challenges, from rising sea levels to extreme weather events,
threatening ecosystems, economies, and communities worldwide.
The scientific consensus is clear: urgent action is required to mitigate the effects
of climate change and transition to sustainable practices. As representatives of your
countries, you will need to address the responsibility we share in combating this crisis.
I hope that this MUN encourages delegates to read more Climate related Agreements and Treaties.
In this MUN, I encourage you to advocate for innovative solutions and collaborate across borders.
Remember, effective diplomacy hinges on understanding diverse perspectives and finding common
ground. Let’s strive to make meaningful progress during this conference. Your voices matter,
and together we can influence real-world change. I hope all students prepare to engage passionately
and thoughtfully in productive discussions and come up with effective Resolutions.
